About qrrip.ie
A quiet place to remember. Every memorial has a permanent address.
Why qrrip exists
A headstone can only hold a few words. The stories behind a life — the photographs, the places, the small things people remember — usually live on only in conversation, and fade a little with each generation. qrrip.ie exists to keep those stories in one lasting place, and to connect that place to the grave itself.
Every memorial gets a permanent web address and a QR code. Print the code at home or have it engraved on a small plaque, and anyone visiting the grave can scan it with their phone and be brought straight to the memorial — to read, to remember, and to leave a message of their own.
What a memorial includes
A memorial page can hold photographs, the dates and places of a life, a life story written by the family, and the location of the resting place. Visitors can light a candle or leave a message of condolence — and nothing appears on the page until the family approves it.
Families stay in control
The people who create a memorial decide what appears on it. Every message, photo and correction submitted by a visitor is held for the family's approval first. Memorials can be managed together with other family members, and ownership can be passed on — because these pages are meant to outlast any one of us.
Made in Ireland
qrrip.ie is built in Ireland, for Irish graveyards and the families who visit them — though anyone, anywhere, is welcome to create a memorial. You can search memorials by name, place, county or dates, and anyone can submit a memorial as a guest without an account.
