Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026

This is a plain-language starting draft. Have it reviewed by a solicitor before launch.

Using qrrip.ie

qrrip.ie lets you create and share online memorials for people who have died. By using the site you agree to these terms. You must be 18 or older to create an account or submit content.

Content you submit

You are responsible for what you submit. You must have the right to share it, and it must be accurate and respectful. You confirm that any person you create a memorial for is deceased, and that you have a genuine connection to them or their family, or reasonable grounds to create the memorial.

You must not submit content that:

  • concerns a living person, or that you know to be false;
  • is abusive, offensive, harassing or defamatory;
  • infringes anyone's copyright, privacy or other rights;
  • is created to distress a bereaved family.

You grant qrrip.ie a licence to host and display the content you submit for the purpose of running the memorial service.

Moderation and removal

Guest submissions are reviewed before publication. We may edit, unpublish or remove any content, and suspend accounts, at our discretion — in particular in response to a valid report from a family member. Use the “Report a problem” link on any page to flag content.

QR codes and availability

We aim to keep each memorial's address permanent, but we provide the service “as is” and cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. We are not liable for any loss arising from downtime or from a memorial being removed for the reasons above.
